Electricity, Public Telephone and the Internet in New Zealand
ELECTRICITY
Electricity is supplied throughout New Zealand at 230/240 volts and 50 hertz. Most hotels and motels provide 110 volt outlets (20 watts) for shavers only.
For any other computer, you need an adapter / converter, unless the item has a multi-voltage option. Please note that the plugs only accept two-pin adapters inclined or three flat pins (as also used in Australia) depending on whether you use a connection to earth.
PAYPHONES:
Most public phones accept cards purchased in kiosks and newsagents, which usually have a minimum value of $ 2NZ. Some also accept credit cards and very few accept coins.
LAPTOPS:
